Sheeps paradise

They who cannot read, They who cannot count, Like sheep they graze on dry grass, painted green. A flock in lion's dress Shouting and singing, They mock the real lion  Calling for a mighty fight. Awoke the lion king Head high with deep growls , Many a battle behind, Every step marking his win.

Manipulative Human Brain

86 billion neurons in the brain buzzing back and forth to twist and turn the truth, to paint the world in colours, to make others dance to its tunes ! Image ref: Instagram/sri_saranya_art

Lies

World we know is falling apart, Destroyed by lies spreading like wild fire, as Flames of hatred paint the sky black. Groping in the dark, Failing to win hearts, our Friends turned foes today. Rays of light pierce the air,  the rising sun brings cheer, United we move forward.

A cup of tea

Frothy bubbles dance in joy, wisps of aroma pierce the air. A cup of pure heavenly taste, every sip fills me with bliss. Milk, tea and sugar together make magic real. A taste that makes life worth - for rich and poor alike. --  Iniyaal.

Alone

My childhood was safe and secure inside a big house, cared for by my family. Yet something was wrong. Growing up, I changed very much introvert and sensitive, empathy  made me ignore my petty role. I gave a lot, and finally gave up  my lot, no place in my people's  heart, yet I dream to regain it all. I am nothing but a tiny speck lost among the cosmic dust. Worry not, for life will go on. ~~ iniyaazh Image credit: Ben McLeod @ Unsplash

Civilized savages

Tall windows framed with gold, crystal chandeliers light up the floor, as statesmen flock to the door. Triumphant stood their leader proclaiming his might and power, every word crafted to hide failure. All for profit, made for minds seeking to exploit and prevail - refined crowd that wreaks havoc. Elsewhere sat another leader weathered face - calm and quiet endurance oozing charm and grace. People know his grit and power he was, like them, resilient clever they forge ahead breathing fire. Civilized they are in spirit pushed in to a deadly plight, braving all for a lengthy fight. ~ Iniyaal Image credit : Sajad Nori on Unsplash

Periyar

Closed hearts and troubled minds stirred, suffering humiliation in silence. There came by, a laid back and common man with nothing special. Great was he neither by academic merits, Great was he not by amassing riches, Yet Revolutions many he made with a sharp mind. When the world lay asleep, in Dreams of high and low births, Great was he who refused to bow down, Great was he who refused to raise above others, Shattering caste hierarchies, he declared the dawn of social equality and justice.  When streets lay divided, closed to outcasts and untouchables, Great was he who knocked down walls, Great was he who denied lofty Gods, Questioning stories wrapped in inhuman horror, Athiesm, he preached, was the new social honour. When the world made matches among children, men drinking in stupor watching women suffer. Great was he who stepped in recklessly, Great was he who aroused women and children , Saving innocent lives, breaking down toddy shops, Marched ah...

Persist

In the middle of chaos, all ready to collapse, I stand in the midst, engulfed by dense mist. Doors everywhere I see but none ready to open. Knocking of no avail, for it is not meant to be mine Friends I see from far,  faces many and sounds vary. But far I should stay, if not shatters the friendly guise. Monsters lurk behind, changing faces with time, neither you nor I can change unseen forces that drive insane. I persist till the end, to see the fruits of confusion for every deed brought to end what it sowed, so did it reap. Words failed long before images collapsed at the back. Facts hidden deep within,  tumbled out to cascade. I am but only a mute spectator, so is everyone now.., for when nature takes its course there is no recourse.

Silence

Silence is to life, like Music is to ears. All words spoken, originate from the unspoken. The journey of life proceeds, leaving behind the need for words. For in silence do I realize, Life is only about existence.

Life's Way

That which is said without words Is always rich in imagination. It lasts forever and ever, Serves beyond its purpose. A life lived simple doing nothing, yet all accomplished, ambitiions none, yet achievements complete, is the eternal life. Life of the Buddha is best lived only by The Buddha himself, for he lived life his own way, not by the way of any other great soul. Empty of words and logic, Sailing along the natural path, Simplicity in thought and mind, Reveals the way to eternal life.

Pain

A six foot mass of muscles and bones, ever taken for granted till pain strikes and shakes. When every muscle tightens and the spine weighs you down, nerves crackle with pain and the brain yells out its agony. Others cannot comprehend, neither can it be expressed, but when it strikes, painful to bear, yet should be borne. Yet work should be done and life goes on, nothing can stop the body that must bear and carry on. The young face that smiles, innocent and exuberant. How can a little pain stop the care and work that she needs? As long it can be borne it will be borne, and when it can no longer be borne, leave it to decide the road.

A restless journey

A life of trials, always in short of green notes Followed by three long sick months. Dawned a new path, the path of knowledge filled with eight hours of joy, another eight hours of doubting words. Even coins in shortage, but forced to spend my hours in company of the rich and wealthy. Sympathy, a cruel weapon, for no match to it to inflict injury on a wounded heart. Dawned a bright sunny cheerful morn With happy tidings of a new job. Began an eventful journey of which the first came a series of roommates. Spiteful words, spit out  on roads in full glare of public view, asked to move out in the middle of a cold cruel night. Days of hardwork, food long forgotten computer my only solace praise at work the best medicine. Hardwork opened doors to a new frontier crossing two oceans to travel far. Work became an ocean filled with Sharks here and sharks there escape one, only to land in the jaws of another. Saving myself became a full time occupation Both a...

No man's land

Rickety rugged muddy track winding along no man's land. Thorny bushes growing mad, violet flowers adorn the land. Ploughed fields waiting for rains, tomato fields with bumper crops, ears of corn hiding behind leafy stalks, chickens in coops counting their days. Silent lands for the new comer, hiding within are scores of sounds for trained ears. Where varied sounds synchronize together, blissful silence blankets the land. Raw and untamed lands that caress none, nurturing all that dare its wilderness. Where life flows like a tranquil river - creating new paths yet always on track.

A new life

I know not where you come from but here you are now inside me. I know not how your journey will be but now together we travel as one. Our heart beats unite together for all lives are one and the same from nature do both of us come and to nature shall we return to. I feel you moving inside me your feets dancing in rhythm. You sway from side to side as I sit back enjoying your dance. Pain and pleasure fill my days as you grow and fill my being. Slowly dawns the realization that life is always whole and complete. A woman's world

A smiling welcome adorns her face when the sun shines the way she wants. A fierce frown with a dark glow when the winds change their way. Masks a plenty to chose from if things do not go her way. Sympathies she can evoke with ease melting even the hardest rock. Life seldom gives her what she wants yet the urge to make it obey her will. A continous tussle of will and fate at times winning, at times losing. Agree with her whims and desires to enjoy her masked dramas; but if you are in the play with her a swirl of emotions pull you deep in. Into her world you plunge helplessly but only till you resist her slyness. Going with the flow is the way out if you can stay fair and calm throughout.

Born to be Free

As the wind blows, as the rains fall, as rivers chart their own path, They were all born to be free. As the flowers flutter in breeze, as butterflies roam the earth, as the birds enjoy their day, we were also born to be free. Make your own path, Think your own way, Do as you like, For you were born to be free.

Paths less taken

Where chaos rules the roost, and money fuels life, Men decieve not others but their own heart. Here comes the new age, when society falls to doom, but ego wins hands down for those one or two. Loud words win over, Sensible talk fails all, Proving yet again Success stays not for long. Amid crazy races in directions many, searching for the fertile mirage run one and all, hurting all over but stopping not till the end. I walk alone, through lone paths amid deserted streets and mighty trees, Reveling in every moment in the peace and bliss it holds within.

Roam around the world

Roam around the world, O free spirit! Worry not, about home or belonging. Sand and stone that kiss your feet, belong to all, and not owned by one. Countries and states, mere lines drawn by men not on earth, but in their minds. Cultures change, habits vary, languages many among men. But spirits of all unite into one. Trust Nature, the mother of all to nourish and cherish every soul. Go with the flow, sing along with joy.

Mountains of the wild

Cool breeze against my face echoing eerily, stifling my breath, I once stood atop mountains magnificent, with snow capped crowns. Looking down to find deep plateaus, ruled by nature loving Indians. Horizon expands, showing more mountains raising and falling, decked in green, with silver streams interlaced, trimmed with ribbons of man-made roads, feet fixed deep in dark green moss, In awe I stood, my heart racing fast. A voice within gnaws at my heart to break free from bonds of duty, to fly back to wild mountains; where spoken words exist not, where silence talks of violence and peace, where realization dawns without prompting, where wild beauty reigns; a hiatus to refresh my spirit and soul. .

Beauty

Beauty I see everywhere, in every living face carved in curves and straight lines combined to form perfection. Crown of hair of every colour, thick or thin matters to none. Straightly carved forehead, falling into soft depressions, housing windows to the human soul verily are they a pair of beauty, combining science and creativity. From depressions rise soft mounds like smooth hills carved to perfection. Curves on all sides joined to form the epitome of beauty called the human face. When every curve and straight line boasts of beauty in every way, how then do men rate one as beauty and another as ugly? .
